NEWS HIGHLIGHTS 2018

The year 2018 gave us the opportunity to complete various ongoing projects, implement a new flagship customer, and go live with BPlanning version 3 – our brand-new supply planning solution!

During the first half of 2018, we completed the Premier rollout, with a go-live at Manhattan sweets in January, the Premix plant in February and Lil-Lets South Africa in April.

At Danone, the requirement arose for a basic solution to facilitate materials requirement planning. We facilitated with ease in their existing planning setup.

The rollout of BScheduling to SAB’s Africa division continued with a go-live in Nigeria. Following the implementations in Botswana, Tanzania, Mozambique and lastly Nigeria, we enhanced the scheduling tool to incorporate additional learnings we took from the respective rollouts.  SAB was subsequently bought by ABInbev, and thereby becoming the largest Brewing company in the world.

The next phase of the RCL Foods rollout was completed when the very complex chicken planning implementation went live in BPlanning version 3.  This version represents a major rewrite, and incorporates twenty years of experience in the supply chain planning space, leading to a tool that is unique in its capabilities and hugely flexible in the way it can be custom setup to precisely represent a customer’s business process.

Major enhancements include the ability plan at different levels – for example plan a pack line, whilst simultaneously considering the stock situation across plants nationally.

AVI, another long-standing customer, upgraded to BPlanning version 3 in August. This provides them the capability to do tactical scenarios with ease.

One of our biggest achievements for 2018 was to be selected by Imperial Logistics as their planning solutions provider. Following the successful go live of our demand planning module, BDeployment went live for the ambient business during July, and by October 2018 cold chain deployment was

n summary, a year that required ten go-live situations to be managed, as well as the completion of the development of our most sophisticated piece of software to date.  Our team is incredibly proud and celebrates what has been achieved!
